I find it interesting (in a sad and f'd up way) how all three groups have some level of distrust, dehumanization, and hatred toward the other two, and they are all from the same root religion. If only we humans could see each other as fellow humans, and not be blind to our differences but to celebrate both differences and similarities as elements which lend strength to our species, like an alloy that is stronger than the sum of its parts.

The irony is that the Palestinians actually are less "educated" in general, and sanitation systems without a doubt are worse, if not non-existent.

The burden is clearly on both sides to make peace. I haven't read Carter's new book, but I doubt he'd deny that.

6. ever notice the universal ethic insult is "dirty"?

Ironic to me is that the Israelis call the Arabs dirty, even though Arabs were notorious during medieval days for comparing their own, daily bathing habits to those of Europeans. Vikings were singled out for bathing only once a week, and blowing their snot into their communal face washbowls. And the English of the time considered Vikings bizarre for cleaning the "holy dirt" off themselves more than once a year. Hell, the French of today are notorious for refusing to bathe!

10. Very disturbing.

I think the best thing the Palestinians can do for themselves PR wise is to get as many of these type of videos out there for the world to see. Once people see the true face of the settlers and how complicit the IDF is in allowing this to happen, support for them will wane. And to think they claim to be the most religious of the bunch makes me laugh.

Right now, Israel isn't facing any pressure to withdraw from the occupied territories because the US is backing them. If people in the US really knew enough about this kind of thing, I would hope that support would eventually be withdrawn. I don't think the average American is aware of this kind of thing and I don't think they would support it if they knew.

18. I am sure it is true.

But I also think that Hebron settlers are not representative of most Israelis. They are pretty much the furthest of the far right wing of the entire population. I wouldn't look to the Kipot Shrugot to get a clear picture of the average Israeli's feelings on the territories or Arabs in general. That's like going to a Klan rally to see what Americans think of minorities. Remember, there are only a few hundred Hebron settlers, and they are probably all crazy.
