Six soccer fans charged with incitement for anti-Arab chants
Six soccer fans were charged with racist incitement on Monday in Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for chanting "Death to Arabs" at recent Betar Jerusalem games played at Teddy Stadium in the capital.

According to attorney Eli Abarbanel of the State Prosecutor's Office, only two soccer fans have faced similar charges in the past. But the state plans to step up enforcement in this area, he added.

"The first two defendants, whose cases are still in court, claimed that this phenomenon has been around for years and that the indictment unfairly singles them out. From now on, it will be impossible to make this argument," Abarbanel said.

1. this shit has and is happening
most everywhere in the football world and it is a growing problem that is finally being addressed. the games this summer should be a test of whether or not football will be able to overcome the hooligans of all national and religious backgrounds...there is no place for this in the great sport of football.....

8. Counting sins
Is there any nation or person without them?

Promoting hatred is an intentional program in the Palestinian authority. Without hatred there would be no attacks on Israeli civilians. There would have been no uprising, and no war. Innocent deaths would not occur, and no way to make Israel top the list for bad press. And far less anti-Israel propaganda.

12. It worse when you try to do it...
think structure, or don't think at all (which seems closer to reality).

4. Playing the "anti Arab" card
Whenever anyone criticizes the theocratic regimes in places like Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan they are called "anti Arab" and Afghanis aren't even Arabs!. This is just used as a smear tactic to silence debate.

Im sure these soccer fans have fully realized arguments behind their taunting.

6. They're not Afghani's either
that is a unit of currency - they refer to themselves as Afghans.

BTW change a few key words in your post and tell me if you think it still sounds OK

"Whenever anyone criticizes the undemocratic regime in Israel they are called "anti semitic" and Israelis aren't even Semites!. This is just used as a smear tactic to silence debate.

Im sure these critics have fully realized arguments behind their taunting."

13. Gosh...where to start
Anyone who thinks that Israelis aren't semites...should one even bother?

As for your bizarre notion that anyone would accuse someone of saying that claims of anti semitism were being used to silence debate, well I would have that to see that to believe it. That would be cynicism to the highest degree.

14. that was meant to be not all Israelis are semites
editing time gone - so you can ease back on the righteousness.

Plenty of people dio scream anti-semitism at any and all criticism, I can only assume you don't get out much - I tend to remember it as, as a Jew (albeit an atheist one) I find it particularly galling

18. heard - just didn't agree
they're not the same thing.

You said you didn't beleive that anyone would dismiss any and all criticism as "anti-semitism" I said - I've had the misfortune of running across many. Pretty simple I thought.

19. That isn't what I said
what I said was
"As for your bizarre notion that anyone would accuse someone of saying that claims of anti semitism were being used to silence debate, well I would have that to see that to believe it. That would be cynicism to the highest degree."

I find it hard to believe that anyone would be so cynical as to believe groups like blacks, gays, Jews, women, etc. invent bigotry in order to stifle debate.
