This rant is about ME
Edited on Thu Mar-16-06 01:52 PM by underpants
Okay so yesterday I posted "This rant is about YOU"
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2515459&mesg_id=2515459

For the most part I stick by it. I decided that since it is a rant (like this one) I wouldn't respond to posts on it because you only get one shot at rants. No "do overs" or corrections.

So here goes with this one. Same subject really.

Feingold puts up a censor motion and neither Kerry nor Clinton (Obama too) nor Bayh nor even Edwards nor Clark have stepped up and made a BIG SHOW about supporting it (Kerry is supporting it).

Why?

Because they are all going after the same job soon-Dem nominee and then (pray) President. If they get behind the censure at the drop of a hat they are then FOLLOWERS and followers of Feingold. I know it is petty and putting self over country and all that but that seems, to me, to be why they have been so slow to publicly get behind it.

This is not meant as a justification or excuse just an observation and I wish it weren't so. Anyway call your Senators and lets keep this fire burning. The longer it is lit the more smoke it makes.

1. They deserve..
...to be followers because they are not leaders.

3. Good point! Voters, remember who the LEADERS were
and who the followers were. Do consider voting accordingly when the real LEADERS do the stuff you would do if you could!

4. Kerry IS supporting it but he's busy now leading the ANWR battle again -
Edited on Thu Mar-16-06 01:55 PM by blm
so he doesn't have TIME to make a show of anything right now.

GOPs are trying to sneak ANWR through again while activists are all distracted with a censure that is already where Feingold wants it - in committee to be debated.

Call your senators, but remind them that ANWR vote is today and you want it protected.
