I keep thinking in connection with the (un)Patriot(ic) Act how easy it was for the Bushies to get it passed, and how hard it would be now to get the Bill of Rights passed. Did I say "how hard it would be"? I should have said it would be IMPOSSIBLE. If we had just the Constitution now with no amendments, there is NO WAY a Bill of Rights could get even a simple majority of the Senate and House. So ... let's get a resolution introduced in the House and/or Senate to RE-AFFIRM the Bill of Rights. Would the Bush brown-noses in the House and Senate DARE to vote AGAINST it? I would propose this to my congressman and senators, but they're all Republicans. Somebody who has a Democratic congressman and/or senator(s), please put this idea in their head and see what they think about it.
