2. Do I detect a whiff of sleaze?
Court documents say the contractor told his employees they needed to make political contributions in order for him to gain influence with members of Congress. He then reimbursed them with proceeds from government contracts.

<snip>

Asked what he did to repay the money, Kerry's campaign said Wednesday he had donated $13,000 to charity two days before Majumder's guilty plea.

Kerry's campaign said the candidate's actions had nothing to do with the campaign contributions. One of the subcontractors working on the guided missile project, Millitech, was based in Northampton, Mass.

I am sure all of this is an unhappy coincidence.

I find that rather curious.

16. Would you ABB if Zell Miller were the nominee, or Evan Bayh?
I don't believe in blanket loyalty oaths.

ABK is the only option left to those of us that fought to prevent the Iraq war, and opposed PATRIOT, NAFTA, etc.

I am sure you are familiar with the concept of voting for the lesser of two evils.

Skull & Bones is a secret organization based on a German Satanic cult.

I find it disturbing that neither Bush nor Kerry are willing to discuss their relationship to S&B and to other members of that Order. Considering how adamant many Kerry supporters were about getting Dean to open up his records as Governor, I think we can demand no less from Kerry and Bush about this secret Order.

20. You don't believe in loyalty oaths but you do put stock in conspiracy
theories?

I thought you thought people's private lives were none of our business?

Yes there is PUBLIC interest in Dean's gubernatorial records, NOT in John Kerry's fraternity.

21. Skull & Bones is not a fraternity. It is a secret Order.

Big difference.

Lots of info was posted in DU in early 2001 about Skull & Bones, the German Satanic cult in which it is based, and the Illuminati connections.

The questions we had about Bush and his S&B connections back in 2001, are the same questions I have about Kerry in 2004.

23. So I guess now that you support Edwards,
your principled positions on the PA and IWR are out the window.

I guess that leaves just the old Skull and Bones canard to justify all the really ugly smears that you've laid on Kerry.

Cool, Karl (Marx, that is).

12. Wash Post Story on Illegal Contributions to John Edwards.
Law Firm's Donations To Edwards Probed
Justice Dept. Reviewing Contributions
By Thomas B. Edsall
Washington Post Staff Writer
Thursday, April 24, 2003; Page A04

The Justice Department's Criminal Division has initiated an investigation into contributions made by employees of a prominent Little Rock law firm to the presidential campaign of Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.).

The investigation was prompted by news reports about $2,000 contributions to the Edwards campaign made by four legal assistants at the Turner & Associates firm. One donor, Michelle D. Abu-Halmeh, told The Washington Post that Tab Turner, the firm's principal lawyer, said he would reimburse her for her donation.

By law, a person can give no more than $2,000 to a federal candidate. It is illegal to funnel donations through another person, which could be a means of circumventing the limit.

Law enforcement sources in Little Rock familiar with the inquiry said it is being handled from Washington, not by the local U.S. attorney's office. It could not be determined whether the investigation might extend beyond the Turner firm's contributions.

The Edwards for President Committee reported raising $7.4 million through March 31, more than any of the senator's eight competitors for next year's Democratic nomination. About $4.5 million came from lawyers, most of them members of the plaintiffs' bar, and from people employed by or related to members of law firms. Twenty $2,000 donors were identified on Edwards's disclosure report as "paralegals," and nine $2,000 donors were listed as "legal assistants."

Sources said the investigation is being conducted by Craig Donsanto, director of the election crimes division in the Justice Department's Public Integrity Section. His office referred inquiries to the public relations office, which refused to discuss ongoing inquiries.

18. Well, My Hoosier Friend
It seems a lot easier to trace that piece of work to Rep. Gephardt than to anyone else.

The point, however, remains. The campaign between Democratic contenders for the Presidential nomination should be conducted without distortions and smears aimed at other Democrats, particularly without distortions and smears that the enemy is likely to echo in the general election campaign, when the charge will be lent credibility by saying "even fellow Democrats agree so and so..." in the hit pieces.

It is nonsense to pretend any Democratic politician is half so tied to special and corrupt interests as the criminals of the '00 Coup, who ose their very existance to such predatory plutocrats. Any successful campaign this fall will need to hammer that home to the people, and it is beyond foolishness to shoot one another in the back over such cheap slurs as this: the prize won by such means will not be worth having.

Turn all fire on the common enemy, and compete in display of the attack each candidate can make on the criminals of the '00 Coup: that is the way to real success.

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"
