The passion for politics left when Dean left.

Damn I am so down trodden. I was so excited about politics. I was ENTHUSIASTIC. Now I just want to go into a corner and continue on with my left and forget about politics altogether. I think this is what you call Political Apathy.

But i have been activly trying to not commit to a canidate. I have been waiting to support whomever won the nomination. after Mosley braun and that Nigeria thing, I was a bit hesitant

but after the infamouse 'screech" speech (which sure didn't look any worse then any other pep rally speech) and the media began hammering dean, thr more I came to know about him and the more i wanted him to win.
I was especially impressed when i heard him say that yes, he was wrong to initially say Iraq was an imminat threat and that people who supported any war do bear some responsibility. I think a lot of people still act like they support Shrub becuase they just don't want to admit how he fooled them and don't know a way to back out.

I hate to say it, but I don't see anything in Kerry or Edwards but a continuation of the staus quo. what good is winning the presidency for 4 years if all we do is temporaily postpone the neo-cons plans? they'll just wait a while and then cheat to get in power again and the work by the repubs to make this possible will still be in place.

That is what we are doing here. He is still viable on the ballots, and hopes to get enough percentage for delegates.

Today has been rough. I've never been excited about politics before, and right now it feels like all the joy has been sucked right out. I wanted real change, and now that it looks like Kerry or Edwards -- the safe candidates -- are going to do their best to keep everything status quo.

It is a very sad day. But Dean wants to continue using grassroots efforts to make positive changes...soon, I will be ready to get back to work. It won't be the same :( but it will be rewarding I'm sure!

10. a candidate who voted for IWR is not "safe"

they are complicit in the mass murder of tens of thousands of people.

The only way these guys could win me over is if they actually got angry about being lied to and impeached Bush, charged him with lying to congress, and sent him and his PNAC cohorts to JAIL.

Are they doing this? No.

8. Take your time

it will be back. Dean is not gone and he is doing a nobel thing by sticking around to keep this party honest. I am not going to ask for you to support my candidate, you can make up your own minds but stay around and help us fight for progressive ideals. Dean gave you the perfect place to do it, with him and his organization. You are needed still but do take some time off if you need it. I certainly would.

and my passion about getting the bastards OUT has not waned one bit.

Sure, I gave some bucks to Dean. And he was inspiring. But this isn't all about him or me or my feelings. It's about getting the Bush criminals OUT.

We are lucky that the moron never got the chance to appoint a Supreme Court Justice. The next one up should be appointed by a Democratic President!
