Who doesnt' think there should be more debates?
Obviously, I think more debates will mean that Edwards overtakes Kerry. However, just on democratic principles, doesn't everyone agree there should be more debates? Also, it's important for the public to understand these people is characters and personalities. The more exposure they both get, the better. You want Americans to feel like they know them personally, and a great way to do that is to get them in your living room as much as possible.

So, who's against this?

EDWARDS URGES MORE DEBATES
(02/19/04) Sen. John Edwards called for more debates with his Democratic rival Sen. John Kerry during an appearance in New York on Thursday morning designed to highlight his views on trade.

"We should debate wherever and whenever," Edwards, a North Carolina Democrat, told a crowd of 1,000 at Columbia University. "I want to be absolutely clear. I will go to New York. I will go to California. I'll go anywhere in America we need to go to debate these issues."

As of now, there is only one presidential debate scheduled before March 2, when 10 states, including New York and California, hold nominating contests. That debate is slated for Feb. 26 in Los Angeles and sponsored by CNN and The Los Angeles Times.

1. There have been too many already
At least 20-30 that I know of. Even I have gotten tired of them, and I tend to enjoy watching them.

...hours long, and people should have to talk in sentences & paragraphs when they set out their ideas.

I want to know that my candidate can make article-length and book-length argumetns about themselves and about the issues.

Short of that, I'll take more debates.

I don't think the debates should be limited by ANYONE's boredom levels -- not yours and not anyone's.
