This year, in the General Election, I'd argue that voting your beliefs will definitely lead to you backing a winner...unfortunately that winner will be George W. Bush.

The Plain Dealer is my local paper and I read this this morning. I'm glad the OP posted it, I wanted to, but, techno-dummy that I am, I had no idea how to post the link. 5. I remember when Jesse Jackson was a candidate

was that 88? I can't remember. It was really cool to vote for him in the primary and then see him at the convention. I don't agree with all of his views, but it was inspiring to see him at the convention and see how excited his supporters were, and how empowered they felt. It feels better if you vote your conscience, but I really do not want to see * re-elected. And having a Dem in there really does make a difference, whether he (or someday, hopefully, she) went to Yale or not.

8. This article is saying something important. It deserves some serious

attention from Democrats. The writer expresses very clearly his view - which I wholly agree with - that most rank & file Democrats don't have the guts to vote for what they really believe in. Therefore, they're not really entitled to feel disappointed, later, when they wind up not getting what they really want.

9. I don't know that I agree with that notion.

I think it is just the opposite. I am of the belief that democrats are a diverse group and that is what makes it hard to unify. I don't think democrats rally around one issue like the republicans do. Look at the recent example, the republicans are not happy with the fiscal irresponsibility of the administration and they are questioning Iraq, so what does the chimp do? He screams FMA. He pulls them all together with that one silly issue.

Democrats I don't think are like that. Democrats are diverse. This year I think it is different. I see the democrats coming together for one reason and one reason only, to send the corrupt administration packing.
