18. Two Mr. Presidents in an open exchange!

Kerry may mumble his words but I have no doubt that his advice on war is spot on. Obama may be short on war time experience but I have no doubt that he values the lives that he has on the line.

It is fair to say that he speaks in complex long sentences. But his words are completely clear. Yes, he has a MA accent, but MA is as much a part of this country as the south is. I could understand Carter's and Clinton's Southern accents, though they sounded different to me than the flat Chicago accent I grew up with. In addition, this is an attack repeated ad nauseum that is really not true. The fact is Kerry is an eloquent, hyper articulate man. Without his amazing performance in the debates (especially the first), 2004 would have been a Bush landslide. Those debates and the convention were the only time people saw Kerry speak without a media filter.

Please give me one sentence any other politician of the last 40 years that is instantly recognizable and remember more than 10 years later and which many can site verbatim or near verbatim. Kerry's, said as a young war hero was turned into the refrain of a Bruce Springsteen song over 35 years later. (Ignore any like "I am not a crook" or "I did not have sex ..." that the politician would not want to be remembered by or simplistic campaign slogans.) That is also was haunting and cut to the heart of the issue makes it more unusual. I have asked this here and on Daily Kos, and have yet to get even one example

20. Kerry won the election. Why do you ignore that important piece of information?

My comments in this post were 100% for President Kerry. Don't go where you are going. I gave him the honor that he won but did not fight for here in Ohio. I really resent your hysteria as my original comments here regarding Kerry were supportive. If you listen to Kerry in the next few days and pay half an ear to him as 99% of the public does I think you will understand what I am driving at.

You are lecturing an Ohioan who worked her butt off for Kerry and donated funds to his election campaign as well as the 'count every vote' account. Do not *hit on someone who is actually supporting your guy. It brings back bad memories and some may give up on him all together.

21. I have likely heard Kerry far more than you have, watching speeches,

listening to hearings, and I have seen him speak many times in person. I listened with BOTH ears and I have never had the slightest problem understanding him. Sorry you took it as lecturing, but I really think it is unfair. All of us likely supported and worked for Kerry in 2004. I do see your comment as very positive and I likely should have mentioned that first.

23. Guess that question goes unanswered

Crickets seem to chirp whenever the hard questions are asked. Intesting.

Maybe if Kerry could shout, raise his voice a little more, and speak in soundbites. it would get more attention, especially from an American public and average voter with short attention spans. Just a guess. :shrug:

Not suprising with good deeds, people will look for anything to find fault with Kerry. Same with Obama.
