Ottawa -- Prime Minister Stephen Harper and members of his cabinet who have run for the leadership in the past decade should be asked to divulge the names of their political donors, the Liberal Party's top executive said yesterday.
Steven MacKinnon's recommendation to a Senate committee studying the Federal Accountability Act was one of several volleys against the Conservative government's marquee legislation.
Mr. MacKinnon, national director of the Liberal Party of Canada, underlined that Tories who ran in the Conservative Party's 2003 leadership contest, including Mr. Harper, Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay and Health Minister Tony Clement, have not disclosed the details of their financing. CP
