The right not to identify yourself.

Under most situations, when stopped by the police, you do not have to identify yourself. Under a Terry Stop for example. But they do have the right to search you for weapons, during which they always pull out your wallet and get your ID. Getting the information by the backdoor.

1. If you drop your wallet into the jockey box and quickly exit the car locking it...

... That is one way you can stall of foil this sort of search. Cops prefer people to remain sitting in their car. But if one is going to be proactive in fighting be identified, why just sit there and go only halfway in making a statement on privacy.

When one does this, one should always state you did it out of force of habit and let it go at that. You shouldn't give them verbal weapons to use against you in court.

2. Good ideas, but with some flaws

First, most glove compartments don't lock any more. At least in the three cars I'm familiar with they don't.

Second, I'm thinking more of being stopped on the street than being stopped in someone else's car as a passenger.

I guess the solution is just to not carry identification, but getting around with just cash is so foreign to me.
