this is a DULL thread
Have you ever taken shots that not only you have no memory of why you took them, but more importantly, of why you KEPT them?

this could be very nice!

2. These things grow wild in the FL scrub forests

I never could figure out what they are though.

6. Tell you the truth
I had to look quite a while to find a photo I thought was really dull.
They all have their charm to us, don't they?

7. Haha, actually the one I posted was the first to spring to my head!
My mother has a large bit of florida scrub on her property, and I grew up running around in it. I saw those "berries" every day of my life and that photo was mostly for me to try to identify what they were, but my husband said it was good so I kept it kicking around in the deepest part of my archives.

9. Bullseye. I think this qualifies.
It is not sharp, has no peripheral interest, the flowers are dead and the bushes are boring.
I don't wish I were there.
Yes.
Winner so far.

:)

11. I had to search high and wide for a dull picture . . .
. . . and it took me all of 30 seconds to find one:

12. Ding Ding Ding We have a tie for first place!
No depth perception, no faces in the rocks, no proper diagonal and only a faint rule of thirds.
Dull colors, though the larger area of off white almost knocked it into first runner up status.

Yes. This works very well.

13. Finally! A thread to showcase my talents!

(Actually, I know why I took this - sort of. It was a work photo. I have no idea what exactly I was documenting, though. )

14. Potential! Not a winner, though.
I will take this one home with me and maybe bring it back to you. It may become a runner-up, but could enter the "reject" bin, too.
Time will tell.

16. Here it is - no longer worthy of entry in this showcase of dull photos-
there was some focus hiding in the grass. Nice try.
Maybe next time-I noticed you were advertising more supposedly dull photos to come.

17. So, one man's dull is another person's...genious.
Still, would that not be a great topic for a contest?

I could enter every pic i have taken!!!!

In my defense I was attempting to take pics representing all the letters of the alphabet...I'm sure you can tell which one this was supposed to be. However, even within that category this is a huge *fail*

eta...it was a toss up between M and A...man that was a close one lol

22. Epic Fail - both counts. The yellow one makes me laugh out loud. So that is not Dull.
The second one makes me scratch my head and think. That keeps me from getting dull.
You have to keep trying.
