2. Well, I have a comment: I think this is starting with great diversity in many ways.
I have a happy hunch this will be an awesome photo spectacular. Keep them coming, and thank you early posters very much.

10. This is my favorite season. I'm sick of shorts and sweating. I love the
Feel of sweaters and the simple pleasure of a comforter, a book and a small glass of whiskey. I love the smell of stews cooking, and the early morning frosts.

And

No Mosquitos!

That was our trip across the Denali Highway in late August. There are more from that trip here if you want to check them out: http://northernvisions.smugmug.com/Landscapes/Byers-Lake-Denali-Highway/18764266_ZQPm2p#1452387192_mqtc3Zs

13. to bad its so damn dark in winter and so cold
we came to anchorage over christmas one year to see if we could handle it. the cold didnt bother us as we were chicagoans at the time but we couldnt handle 9:30 sunrise and 3:30 sunset...
and now that im older I couldnt handle the cold either, which is why im in texas
but I do want to go to brooks lodge to see the grizzlys.. Its either that or a small ship cruise in the inside passage. we did that once but it was on a big cruise ship and were talkign about maybe doing it again but this time on a small, eco friendly ship

32. to handmade:
Autumn of His Life is an extremely moving photo.
The way the old man is seen from such a distance, he looks so small, becoming invisible and disappearing from the scene.
It speaks volumes.
for some reason I teared up on seeing it
( perhaps because I am also approaching early days of that season in my life).

35. So I just reviewed the field.
I usually don't look at the other entries until they post the contest - I'm weird like that.

What a great field we have, too. :applause:

I first perused them at work, on an older IBM laptop... then I came home to vote (I don't log in at work). What a difference! I don't have a fancy monitor - I think it's a three year old 17" widescreen - but the images were so much better! I guess I just never compared before...

You are doing well with the votes, too. Fall may well be my favorite contest every year. The photos always "sing".

37. Fall is my favorite time of year, too.
I grew up in Maine, so New Orleans is kinda "meh" for me, seasonwise.
