Get this to the media - Plame was working on Iran WMD
The American people need to know what a bunch of hypocritical lying bastards these Neocons are. If they were so frikkin worried about Iran's nuclear capabilites why the hell were they deliberately destroying a covert undercover operation whose mission was to interdict these weapons. Let these criminals explain that to the American people. Tell the media...tell everyone.

The unmasking of covert CIA officer Valerie Plame Wilson by White House officials in 2003 caused significant damage to U.S. national security and its ability to counter nuclear proliferation abroad, RAW STORY has learned.

According to current and former intelligence officials, Plame Wilson, who worked on the clandestine side of the CIA in the Directorate of Operations as a non-official cover (NOC) officer, was part of an operation tracking distribution and acquisition of weapons of mass destruction technology to and from Iran.

Speaking under strict confidentiality, intelligence officials revealed heretofore unreported elements of Plame's work. Their accounts suggest that Plame's outing was more serious than has previously been reported and carries grave implications for U.S. national security and its ability to monitor Iran's burgeoning nuclear program.

1. Maybe that was part of their reason for outing her
Maybe they didn't want anyone telling the truth about Iranian WMDs either.

7. I think so, too. They wanted Iran's nuclear program to succeed
to a level that would 'justify' an attack. I think that was on the drawing board well before the Axis of Evil speech. At the time they probably thought America would have plenty of fear and war fever left after an invasion of Iraq to continue on to Iran.

Yes, I think they had action against Iran planned before we ever entered Iraq.

5. They will claim ignorance. Brewster Jennings was the target
They outed her and it also compromised all the related contacts. I can't believe it was some petty revenge on Joe Wilson. It did nothing to discredit him, though it may have put his wife's life in danger for a short time.

They did a major housecleaning on the CIA with Porter Goss (of Operation 40 fame), and compromised an op that was responsible for tracking WMDs in Iran and elsewhere. You do the math.

6. We can only hope that Fitz is on to all of this
I think he is and I think he knows how much damage this has caused. When the CIA first referred this case to the Justice Dept. they tried to quash it, then they sat on it, finally there was so much pressure that Asscroft had recuse himself and let his non political assistant James Comey step in and buck it to Fitzgeral with full authority to launch as broad an investigation as he deemed fit.
I believe in my heart that Fitz will do the right thing. If he does, I would anticipate that treason against the U.S. is the ultimate indictment. It's a huge charge, so you know he wants to have every t crossed and every i dotted, as he should.
