He kept our country safe and prosperous. A saint he was not. He fought the venomous hatred of the radical right wing from day one of his election. They would persecute and prosecute him with every cent the GOP allowed. They were on a mean spirited witch hunt to down him and his wife. With whatever.

They failed. He is still far more beloved than any GOP president. He kept the peace and allowed all to prosper. It kills them that he was more popular during their witch hunt about his personal life than any other president. GOP, live with it.

1. Some prospered, not all. The "empire" still had massive problems.

If you looked at the gap between the rich and the poor, the rich left everybody behind. Free trade was demolishing the manufacturing sector, and the Telecommunications Act of 1996 didn't help freedom of information in the end.

Clinton was far better than Bush Jr., but then again, most presidents are. Be fair in your assessment of him.

2. He made us feel loved by him

Whether it was an act or not, he "acted" truly interested in his fellow man. Things like that give people dignity, so lacking today.

5. I hate how he triangulated everything

He ended welfare, but not poverty. We now have millions of families on the street or living in their cars. Of course, the people who suffer the most are women and children. His timber give away was a disaster for the forests in the northwest, but he had his moments of greatness.
