A WEEK BEFORE NIELSEN MEDIA Research holds its annual client meetings, it looks like the TV ratings giant will be getting a new parent. Current parent VNU this morning accepted an offer to be acquired by a consortium of private equity firms in a deal valued at about $9 billion.

competitors who would like to have Nielsen's job. Many are making inroads.

There are lots of eyes on Nielsen. If Nielsen is screwing up, they'll find out and cream them — not to mention all those equity firms you have listed who AREN'T Carlyle.

The front page of the Norfolk (VA) Virginian Pilot's Daily Break sections (entertainment) had a huge write up on how good "Path to 9/11" is!!!!! The article was decorated with a large, full-color picture.
