So I just finished making a visit to the Congressional Black Caucus' (CBC's) website, to see what they are talking about lately. Now that the Democrats have control of the House, and many members of the CBC are in important leadership positions in their new majority, the CBC has a tremendous opportunity to ensure their agenda is heard and acted upon.
So at any rate, I was really disappointed in their website (
http://www.congressionalblackcaucus.net/). It hasn't been updated in a while. They still have information from the last Congress, and a picture on the front page of Bush signing the re-authorization of the Voting Rights Act.
So please, if you are priviledged to have a member of the CBC as one of your Representatives, I encourage you to write to them, and ask them to update their website with the most current information. Encourage them to modernize it with things like podcasts, enewsletters, etc.
I think this is especially important because many times, issues of concern in the African-American community are the last to be addressed in the MSM.
Please help me keep this kicked, and again, anyone with a CBC representative, please write to them about the CBC's website.
