You call that a President?
Edited on Tue Jan-09-07 06:15 AM by Mythsaje
Dear President George W. Bush,

I never voted for you. I didn't trust you. I didn't trust your father either. Or the President under which he served as V.P.

Don't take it personally. Or, at least, no more personally than you have to. If you suck as a human being as much as you suck as a leader of the free world, you probably will take it personally. How could you help yourself?

You've played politics with the future of this country, listening to greedy, backstabbing, corporate whores. You've sold our economic future to the Chinese. You've sent thousands of our young men and women into a war in a place you never bothered to understand. You sat on your skinny ass ignoring all the warnings while less than twenty men planned and carried out the worst attack on American soil since the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

You expect the media to kiss your ass as if that's their job. You're simply delusional. And so are your loyalists.

You abuse our system of checks and balances, polluting the very environment of our government, and act as though no one has a right to censure you for it. You sneer at your detractors, allow your minions to accuse them of being traitors, and act as though you're above the fray.

You're a thief, a coward, and a traitor yourself, Mr. Bush. You took an oath to defend and uphold the Constitution, but you've done nothing but undermine and attack it since you took office. You should be ashamed of yourself, but I'm not sure you're even capable of feeling shame.

You've made millions of your fellow Americans embarassed to admit to their nationality. And that's just sad, because being an American used to be something worthy of pride. But you've stained it, maybe beyond redemption. All because of your pride, arrogance, lust for power, and outright greed.

Thousands of our young men and women would like to come home and stay there, but you've managed to make that an impossible dream. Instead, they are forced to remain in a land where they aren't wanted, and put in the line of fire EVERY day. There families are suffering, and every time another soldier or marine dies, children are left without a parent, and mothers and fathers are forced to bury a child before his or her time?

And for what? So religious fanatics can replace a tin-pot dictator as the rulers of Iraq? Or so your corporate cronies can make millions--if not billions--by exploiting a country torn apart by war and the young people we've sent into the thick of it.

You're not my President, Mr. Bush. You never have been and you never will be. You made that abundantly clear by ignoring the wishes of the millions like me who voted to replace your rubber stamp congress this last November.

The only legacy you will end up with, Mr. Bush, is that of a arrogant ninny with absolutely no sense of decency or responsibility.

You're the most powerful man in the free world and I wouldn't trade who I am and what I have to be you for even a second.

On the bright side, your place in history is secure. You'll be remembered as one of the worst, if not the worst President ever.

People are remembering Richard Nixon with fond nostalgia. Compared to what you've brought to the table, he has been revealed as a man of principle.

And if that's not a statement to chill the blood, I can't imagine what would be.

I'm counting down the days until you're out of office. With any luck, something will happen to speed the process along. If Clinton can be impeached for screwing Monica, you should be easy to target for screwing the rest of us.

And that's just the simple truth.

Now the only thing that keeps someone from rejected a potential candidate is if they had been an ax murderer previously. And even STILL people would say that at least he's not GW!
