I am responding to all posters who use surge without quotes or caveats with the following comment:

Please don't call it a surge unless you place it in quotes and preferably with the caveat "supposed" in front of it. Even better, use the term "escalation". Otherwise, you are helping the republics to frame the debate. Don't help the other team please

I'm going to be a royal pain in the ass because A) I have a bad cold and am stuck at home and B) I feel passionately that DUers shouldn't be helping the thugs to frame their debate.
