MOGADISHU (Reuters) - Many people died when a U.S. gunship hunting al Qaeda suspects attacked a village in southern Somalia as part of a wide air offensive against fugitive Islamists, officials said on Tuesday.

In Washington's first overt military intervention in Somalia since a disastrous peacekeeping mission that ended in 1994, an AC-130 plane rained gunfire on the remote village of Hayo late on Monday, a senior government official said.

"There are so many dead bodies and animals in the village," the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Reuters.

This is the job of the military, to wreck and kill anything that gets in their way. Keep in mind that this is just the stuff that we know about. I bet not one reporter new about this until they were informed about it from one of our military people, probably for propaganda purposes. You know, if you wanted to be the most watched news program in history, get your own spy satellite and show people the truth instead of relying constantly on government sources.

Back in 1934 John Dillinger was #1 on the FBI's most wanted list. They got a tip he was in a movie theater. Foolishly, they waited till he exited the theater and was identified by an informant before killing Dillinger.

Fast forward to 2007. Would we now send a couple A-130 gunships to lay waste to the Biograph theater with Dillinger and many innocent (and white) Americans in it? No. Of course not. The shock and outrage would be on the level of 9/11.

Ok, still 2007. John Dillinger is an African Arab in a Somalian movie theater. Clearly, this is totally different. Send in the gunships. Kill 'em all. God can do the sorting.
