Granted, watching Dreier whine on and on and on was a pain, but Alcee Hastings was *not* taking prisoners on this one. "No, I will not yield" combined with Dreier refusing to stop talking was just beautiful. Dreier did not look like an adult there and he really is going to hate the next 2 years, methinks.

They should let the Speaker turn off someone's mic if the children can't play nicely. :rofl:

It sure as heck sounded like Hastings was smacking the crap out of Dreier, from the "*I'm* disingenuous about you being disingenuous???" to the final coup de grace... CSPAN has definitely become must-see TV for me! I haven't been this entertained in I don't even know how long.

Whereas, during the 109th, I'd smile when someone got in a good smack-down, but the smack-downs never meant anything since the train-wreck was already scheduled and the Repubs beaten into shape. It's a vastly different thing to watch it when the smack-downs get to be delivered on closing and pissant hypocrites like Dreier just have to take it and sit down and shut up.
