I know that sounds like a nutty conspiracy theory, but I assure you, I do not believe our government orchestrated 9/11.

I think that this weird secret government* is responsible for these people being so angry at us, they hit a beehive, and for the first time in their history, their claims of being able to secure us through unconstitutional and unjust means were shown to be false.

*See this thread for what I am talking about:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x3166046

9/11 was not the first time the people who attacked us, did so, and it wasn't even the first time they made it onto American soil, but it was a very dramatic event, and it will undoubtedly signal a turning point in our history as a nation.

Now, the last fews years have seen a resurgence of this secret government, government which we the people don't know enough about. Because as you know, everyone in America is an agent of al-Qaeda, so we don't have the right to find out the plans or actions of the CIA and all these other shadowy organizations.

One might even be lead to believe that what ever remained of the US Government, as outlined in the US Constitution, is in greater danger than ever before. I disagree, I think it's about to become stronger than at any time in our history.

You see, we can now prove how awful tactics will not protect us. Look what happened after years of this secretive bullshit; 9/11. They can't claim they protect us anymore, if anything they endanger us. We have proof, we just didn't know it.

The beast the secret government created during the '80s in funding the ISI's support of Islamic radicals in Afghanistan has come back to haunt them/us in ways completely unimaginable then.

The abuses of power are a danger to us. Allowing this secret government to continue is a grave danger to our security, even more severe than anything it might dig up to scare us.

We have to stop it once and for all.

Unlike the people of the secret government, whom think you may use undemocratic means to achieve democratic ends, we will only use democratic means to arrive at our democratic ends.

It begins here. If you have any questions as to what the hell I'm talking about, ask away, and I'll explain.

1. I hope I explained this well enough.

Think about it:
They have promised to protect us, for years there were no direct attacks on America so we bought the BS, but then there was the first WTC bombing, and then all the rest, up until 9/11. Their little game of violating the sacred liberties of people around the world has endangered us.

Oh no, instead of figuring that out, we've been pussyfooting around the last few years letting them make us look like a bunch of al-Qaeda loving wussies. Goddamn jerks, they're the people responsible, yet we get blamed.

Well, it's time we start talking about this. It needs to stop, because IT is the real danger to us.

We should have realized that years ago; we are the greatest threat to ourselves.

3. how many times have I posted this in the last month?
Edited on Sun Jan-21-07 01:44 AM by seemslikeadream
I have no idea 20 or more?

I've been waiting for something to happen
For a week or a month or a year
With the blood in the ink of the headlines
And the sound of the crowd in my ear
You might ask what it takes to remember
When you know that youve seen it before
Where a government lies to a people
And a country is drifting to war

And theres a shadow on the faces
Of the men who send the guns
To the wars that are fought in places
Where their business interest runs

On the radio talk shows and the t.v.
You hear one thing again and again
How the u.s.a. stands for freedom
And we come to the aid of a friend
But who are the ones that we call our friends--
These governments killing their own?
Or the people who finally can't take any more
And they pick up a gun or a brick or a stone
There are lives in the balance
There are people under fire
There are children at the cannons
And there is blood on the wire

Theres a shadow on the faces
Of the men who fan the flames
Of the wars that are fought in places
Where we cant even say the names

They sell us the president the same way
They sell us our clothes and our cars
They sell us every thing from youth to religion
The same time they sell us our wars
I want to know who the men in the shadows are
I want to hear somebody asking them why
They can be counted on to tell us who our enemies are
But they're never the ones to fight or to die
And there are lives in the balance
There are people under fire
There are children at the cannons
And there is blood on the wire

LITTLE MAN VS. BIG MACHINE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7Mf9j8co70

There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart
that you can't take part; you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all

Mario Savio's speech before the FSM sit-in

Editorial note: This is the conclusion of Mario Savio's memorable speech, before Free Speech Movement demonstrators entered Sproul Hall to begin their sit-in on December 3, 1964. His climactic words about "the operation of the machine" have been quoted widely ever since, out of context, as the existential emblem of the FSM. (Or mis-quoted, since he said "passively" rather than "tacitly.") The beginning of Savio's talk -- about the technical details of the failed negotiations and the administration's reprisal --has never been transcribed. We hope to make it available soon, for it provides a fuller view of the balance of thought and feeling in his speech, and in the FSM.

We have an autocracy which runs this university. It's managed. We asked the following: if President Kerr actually tried to get something more liberal out of the Regents in his telephone conversation, why didn't he make some public statement to that effect? And the answer we received -- from a well-meaning liberal -- was the following: He said, "Would you ever imagine the manager of a firm making a statement publicly in opposition to his board of directors?" That's the answer! Now, I ask you to consider: if this is a firm, and if the Board of Regents are the board of directors, and if President Kerr in fact is the manager, then I'll tell you something: the faculty are a bunch of employees, and we're the raw material! But we're a bunch of raw material that don't mean to have any process upon us, don't mean to be made into any product, don't mean to end up being bought by some clients of the University, be they the government, be they industry, be they organized labor, be they anyone! We're human beings!

There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part; you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!

Now, no more talking. We're going to march in singing "We Shall Overcome." Slowly; there are a lot of us. Up here to the left -- I didn't mean the pun.

I think continually of Mario
Mario in mid-speech
Thinking out loud with us
Pondering along with us
Seeming to be speaking
To each person's spirit
Profoundly democratic
Eloquent, articulate,
Our Demosthenes who
Used to stammer badly
But in Free Speech discourse
Spun intricate compelling
Webs of logic and passion
Many-sided, dialectical
Truthful and sincere
Complex and coherent
Modest and magnificent.

When he spoke to the
Assembled multitudes
Electrons charged
With reason to rebel
Going to the root of things
Calling out the score
Empowering the mass of us
Humanity at core.

Prophetic words of beauty
Vision of a place
Where all will be respected
Not judged upon their face
Where all will have a chance
To learn, to grow, to teach,
And all will have a right
To celebrate free speech.

Teach brother teach!

Mario Savio will live on
His life will have great reach
I think continually of Mario
Mario in mid-speech.

If you really think about it, this secret government has killed more Americans than anything else external.
