I'm watching McCain right now on MTP.
Is there anyone with a more boring, monotone voice? At one time, pre 2000, I had respect for McCain, but now I cannot stand him. What an asswipe!!

3. Has he alway been this bad at speaking? I was not familiar with him until lately and thought his sp
speaking style might have come about with his old age.

4. Well John Conyer's voice doesn't exactly have dulcid tones.
But, he's great! I don't get your monotone voice argument. After all, it sure doesn't apply to bush and reagan.

6. Big mystery: why was he so popular here before? Always bad speaker, corrupt
W enabler since the 2000 stolen primaries - yet people adored him - OP too. Ah, the hypnotic power of the MSM!

10. McCain was willing to criticize Bush before.
No longer.

20. More than, say Conyers, Waters, Rangel, Welstone? Why was his voice appreciated
above way better people's? Clark, Krugman, Conason, - didn't get half as much love as MSM propped mccain did!

9. McCain is going over the edge:
When asked to comment on MoveOn's video saying that the surge was his idea, McCain's first comment was that MoveOn should be made illegal.

He also commented that the pending nonbinding resolutions condemning the surge, McCain said that it was a vote of no confidence in the troops.

I never thought I would hear such drivel coming from this man's mouth. He is desperate to get the GOP nod to the point of completely reversing himself.

11. He really is becoming incoherent.
He's not fit to be the president of a VFW, let alone a country.

14. McCain is opposed to 529 ads,
and he always has been. This is absolutly is character for him. He didn't say Moveon should be illegal, he said 529 shouldn't be allowed to publish political adds, and I absolutly agree with him.

If you don't, google an organization called, "club for Growth".

17. Thanks for the corrected phrasing. However, ...
... it was most unsatisfying (and telling) that he would preface his response to a legitimate criticism against him by focusing on the means by which the message was delivered.

12. Looks like his jaw is wired together...and, yes
seems like he's on heavy meds.

Is it at all possible that all these Repugs supporting this insanity have to be medicated before they appear on tv just so they don't puke all over the cameraperson? Surreal!

16. Wow.
That was worse than usual. Was it intentional? Did his handlers tell him to lay off 'angry' and go with 'deadly dull' instead?
Maybe they thought it would distract from the totally delusional content.

19. Something definitely wrong with McCain
As an Arizonan and having watched and listened to McCain for many years, his MTP interview this morning with Russert was way out of character.

Living in Arizona for many suns and genetically of Nordic skin tone, I and many of my family have had to partake of skin-cancer surgery. The last facial surgery that McCain had, was very extensive. This mornings MTP interview makes me wonder if John McCain has serious medical problems.

24. I saw his lackadaisical performance this morn
There is something wrong with him. He did appear drugged, I've not seen him behave like this before. I wonder if he is being blackmailed to pull this apple cart.
