How can McCain blame Gen. Casey for this mess?
Because of Casey's "failed leadership", he won't support his nomination for CoS of the Army, he just said on MTP.

How can he POSSIBLY support Bush if he is against "failed leadership"???? And why isn't whathisface pushing that question????

I can't be the only person who hears these people blame the generals and get annoyed. "Support our troops" my ass!

1. they will blame anyone but those actually guilty -
and the guilty are those who decided to invade Iraq

the government will not blame itself

6. Ok, but Gen. Casey did
everything Bush asked him to do. Anyone who DIDN'T fall in line found himself unemployed. So now, Bush's plans have all failed, and he blames the Generals- the talking head Senator last week said the same thing.

It's like getting drunk, driving your car into a tree, and then blaming the car.

11. I disagree
It's the tree's fault for growing in that place

if it grew over there, then we wouldn't be hitting it over here...

12. The tree danced around on September thee Eleventh,
remember! If we didn't attack the tree over there, it would attack us in the parking lot!

with McCain, Hagel was on Face The Nation, and Bob Schafer is a jerk asking him if what Hagel said about Bush's plan for escalation was immorally wrong was too harsh a thing to say about the bushhead. What a jerk. But Hagel is standing his ground.

also Schafer brought up an article in the Washington post today how Maliki did not want more US troops, and let Iraqi handle Baghdad, and also how those Americans troops should stay at the borders of Iraq, something the Baker Hamilton report said, how interesting huh, Maliki is just a puppet, and I also heard how the Bush regime wants to replace Maliki, what with another dictator who will be a another puppet of the US.

4. McCain has been a politician MUCH longer than he was a soldier.
He's corrupted his own priciples, or just shit on them.

He knows (or knew) Generals don't make policy, they implement it.

5. Although I`m saddened by what McCain endured in Vietnam
I have lost any and all respect for the man. If "failed leadership" is some kind of benchmark, why in hell is he hugging Bush?

9. Because the one 'valuable' lesson McCain learned from dimson was to
accept no responsibility? Blame it on the other guy? Seems that's where he's headed, and welcome to DU!

15. McCain sold out...
bush promised to deliver him the presidency if he stood behind him back in '04. McCain is that desperate. He's a piece of shit and I'm ashamed I EVER liked him.
