PLEASE ADOPT THESE CHILDREN

This baby was born to an Iraqi war veteran exposed to depleted uranium. Parents are unable to provide adequate care for the child, because the Veteran's administration does not recognize the severe defect as combat-related and has refused additional benefits. We know there's a family out there for this child and several others in need.

This fetus was diagnosed at 12 weeks with trisomy 18 — Children with this condition have multiple malformations and mental retardation due to the extra chromosome #18. Some of the problems include: low birth weight, small head, small jaw, malformations of the heart and kidneys, clenched fists with abnormal finger positioning, and malformed feet. The mental retardation is severe. Ninety five percent of children with this condition die before their first birthday.
The mother is a 13-year-old victim of incest. South Dakota Adoption Services is looking for a patient and resourceful family who can give this child constant care when it is born.

Looking for a loving home. Race unimportant. This baby was born to a drug-addicted mother currently serving a 10-year sentence on a first-time drug offense.
