It was always Victoria when she was promoting death & destruction for the Pentagon. Now it's Torie because she has a book to sell and she's just like you and me. And that has got to be the worst name for a book ever conceived, "Lipstick on a Pig", I thought you were supposed to be some public relations guru. Turns out, you just plain suck, Torie.

She was on CSpan this week, flogging that book. Her interviewer was one of those "on the other hand" reporters, Panela Hess, who wasn't all that prepared. Clark seems to really believe that the Pentagon and the Bush administration does not engage in "spin." In truth, part of their spin is that there is no spin. That's about as old a way of thinking as it gets. Spinning is part of the human condition when there's power involved. You cannot get away from it.

She's really quite stupid. Shame on Pamela Hess from addressing her slobbering malarky with apparent respect.

It's also as intellectually lazy as it is misogynist to resort to sexist slurs to criticize her. You can't think of REAL reasons to criticize her? NON-SEXIST names to call her? No one at DU would condone -- nor would DU admin allow -- criticizing Clarence Thomas on the basis of his Negro-ness, nor Alberto Gonzalez on the basis of his Latino-ness, but it's okay to criticize women using their female-ness against them. Racial slurs are verboten; gender slurs are celebrated.
