"Dark" forces... (Jose Padilla)

CNN just showed some clips of Jose Padilla being transferred via helicopter. I first didn't recognize who the prisoner was (TV was muted), but as I watched it was noted that it was Jose Padilla. They then showed the "stock" photo of Padilla that we have all seen hundreds of times on TV over the past three years or so.

I was amazed, his complexion was at least ten times darker in this photo than what he appeared in the video! This seems to be a typical ploy the media uses whenever they want someone to appear more "sinister". Remember, there is that old stock footage of Zaqawari looking all evil and dark, and, of course, the Time magazine cover of O. J. Simpson at the time of his trial - blacker than coal. Phew!

I just thought this was interesting because I would NEVER have recognized the person in this recent video as Padilla if I had not been told. :shrug:
