Service workers at Logan International Airport in Boston went on strike for 24 hours starting last Wednesday night. Contract negotiations with Aramark Corporation have fallen apart. The workers chose to take the strike action after the union representing them worked out a deal with the Massachusetts Port Authority that certain security protocols at the airport would be in place. Overall, 100 workers were on strike, but they were doing so in shifts with 20 picketing at a time.
