On Thursday, April 15, Tea Partiers from around the country gathered in the nation's capital to protest what they percieved to be egregious increases in taxation under the Obama administration, despite taxes having actually been lowered for 98% of working Americans.

The usual anti-science and nativist rhetoric, and praise of Fox News personalities, ensued.

This NEW LEFT MEDIA film was produced and edited by Chase Whiteside (interviewer) and Erick Stoll (camera operator) with additional camera work from Kasey Hosp.

I have to say that this video is disturbing on so many levels. The ignorance is upsetting. I could not have held a straight face or bit my lip like this guy did. My head was spinning as I watched this. The fact that these people really believe the stuff they are saying is INSANE. The simple fact that they really don't know what they believe is even worse. None of them could put a sane thought together at all. They didn't really know what they were doing or why they were really there. Things like "lower taxes" or "no taxes" or "commie in the white house" or "do away with department of education" are just some of the most INSANE things I have ever heard and more so that they really don't even believe that...once challenged they couldn't give an actual reason why we shouldn't have these things. Again, SCARY.
