We're apathetic.
Oh it aint gonna do any good.

My candidate is better than yours.

One more crime to add to the many.

Iran NIE... well we knew they were lying, but nothings gonna happen.

CIA Tapes.... It was gonna come out, but nobody's gonna do anything.

Bush is a liar... so we knew that since 2001.

The media isn't going to report it.

any and all other excuses for our beaten down view of the circumstances.......

They win, just go home.

Apathy, is our biggest enemy.

1. Well your upbeat post will certainly put a stop to that..
Give us something to not be apathetic over...Tell us a story of heroism in our Democratic ranks. How the Democrats stood tall and backed the evil Bush* Cabal into a dark corner and how they brought light and honor back to America..Tell us that story OK.....

4. That´s only the beginning, because
apathy leads to ignorance which leads to arrogance, that´s what makes us the enemy.

5. I don't agree that we are apathetic
I think many of us cycle between indescribable passion and dormancy as we recover from the surreality of the situation we face.

This conflict here would seem to be evidence that we care deeply, even though we may deny it.

7. Speak for yourself.
I think some are apathetic but most are just speechless from the constant waves of one crisis
after another and it's getting to the point that there just aren't any more words to describe
the anger and outrage. Most here are far from apathetic. I think they're more likely devastated,
worried, angry and fearful for the future. It's been a very long and painful seven years. :(

9.  This is like being the victim of a trainwreak
Then having to walk and climb mountains only to find you went in the wrong direction . Then along comes a bear and a frozen river to cross . It just never ends and there is always more to come , it gets to the point where you begin to count on it getting worse .

I think of all the protests all these years and all the talk getting them together and still here we are in this madness . We voted in 2006 to end this , this is what we were promised and a year has gone by already .

It's frustrating when one person has no control even over many things inn their own lives now .

10. Good description, blues90.
Hiking to look for a way out and then only to find yet another river or mountain to cross. *sigh*

It is frustrating but that's why we all hang out here at DU, isn't it? At least, by being

here with like minded people, we know that we aren't alone on this journey.

12.  It is so very frustrating
I just hope , somehow , someway we can at the very least stop this horror and perhaps save what there is left just for the childrens sake since they had nothing to do with any of this .

11. You seem to be mistaking apathy for a reality check.

Have you taken a good look at who the democratic leadership is, and what they have done?
