Disgruntled Hooter's customer shoots into restaurant, kills one, wounds another
A Michigan man shot early Saturday as he walked out of a West Knoxville Hooters has died, Knoxville police said.

Stacey Sherman, 35, of Applegate, Mich., had been listed in critical condition after being brought to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He died at the hospital Saturday afternoon, according to authorities.

Kris Key, 25, of Knoxville, an assistant manager of the Hooters at 8050 Kingston Pike also was injured in the shooting shortly before 1 a.m. Originally listed in critical condition, his condition has improved, according to a Hooters official.

Police continue to look for the gunman, who had just been at the restaurant and was asked to leave after getting into a disagreement with a restaurant employee about his tab.

Police on Saturday night provided a more detailed descrirtion of the man, whose name is not known.

Authorities said he is white with a dark complexion, is missing his front four teeth and is believed to be in his late 20s to early 30s and about 150 to 160 pounds. The unshaven gunman had a short ponytail. He had large-gauge earrings and double-pierced ears. He also wore rings on each finger as well as several necklaces, according to Knoxville police.

He wore dark blue, baggy jeans, black boots, and a black hoody with a white stitching pattern. He carried a large black backpack. Police asked that anyone with information in the case call 865-215-7212. After leaving Hooters, the man walked out, pulled a .40-caliber pistol and started shooting into the restaurant, then ran away, Miller said.

7. Whew
Thank God the victim was unarmed. It was very nice that that suspect ruled the roost but decided to spare her life.
