The quintessential Hillary Clinton quote; "It's the people in suits and ties
that we should be standing with, the middle class". I know exactly what she meant; we should be supporting those in Pakistan who are productive members of society.

However, it gives me a very clear view into who she considers worthy of her support. If you weren't abe to get your suit tailored in time, you might be outa luck.

1. you missed her point completely.
It is a juxtaposition in Pakistan. The lawyers, and judges, the people in suits are with the people ARE the people who are fighting the military and Musharaff.

3. Then why did she use the phrase "middle class"?
She made a similar reference in one of the debates when she lifting the cap on social security taxes, something that would only affect the top 5% of taxpayers, and saying it would hurt the "middle class".

Hillary Clinton has not spend a day of her life in the middle class.

4. I hate both suits and ties, although I have a 'professional' position
so does that mean I'm not worthy of Hillary standing with me?

7. Wow, what a dumb observation you make
All developing democracies that succeed are built on the professional and merchant classes.

All of them.

Know your history.

13. The 'professional' and 'merchant' classes don't have shit but for the labor
and sweat of the common worker.

Here and there.

8. you guys are so funny. You parse every syllable until her meaning is so distorted and then complain
about her meaning.

She was clearly talking about standing with the people and pointed out that THIS TIME the PEOPLE include those in suits and ties. Those lawyers who see what Musaraff is doing to their rights, those judges who were fired as he took the rule of law from the people.

Dang, you guys will twist anything to make Clinton look bad. Your superficial take on her statement is completely wrong. She is obviously for the people of Pakistan.

10. It's the guys in suits and ties at her Beverly Hills
fundraisers that she's particularly attracted to. Her list of 90210 donors is long.

12. "productive" ... like dairy cattle
The infestation of our dialog with such rhetoric - the language of objectification - is noxious. "Productivity" has become the Holy Grail of cheap labor exploiters, corporatists, and others who seek only to benefit personally and economically from other human beings. Treating human beings as a means to an end rather than an end in themselves is fundamentally immoral, imho.
