1. I haven't noticed any DUer liking Imus -period.
As for Tweety - only on occasion when he has taken the proper ration of meds. So Tweety gets positive marks about 1% of the time. Maybe you have confused DU with another.

3. Imus is like Howard Stern without Stern's sophistication and class (sarcasm)
As to Tweety, he aggravates the hell out of me sometimes, and other times he does great work. (no sarcasm)

DU'ers like to equate Tweety to Bill O'Reilly and he sure aint that

14. Good Point. ...Some's "level of tolerance" is lower or higher....and it
depends on that level that we can "Deal" anymore. But, I understand what you say...and THANKS!

4. I guess not.
But I don't "love" (or hate) any talking head on TV.

I don't give a shit what they say or do, because they have no place in my world.

Now, what's this about killing dogs?

5. Most DU'ers dislike Matthews and Imus
In fact, I call CM "Tweety" so much over here, I've started to call him that in regular conversation.

"Anus in the Morning."

8. Ha!! So do I. I was talking to a friend and said that I thought I remembered hearing Tweety say that
his son worked for Howard Dean's campaign. She looked at me funny and said, "Who's Tweety?" It took me almost a full minute to remember his real name. Ah, well. :D

9. I disagree, SOME DU'ers dislike Matthews and Imus..

Anyone who is on national TV 2 hours a day asking what the VP knew about the results of Joe Wilsons trip, instead of covering missing or dead or crazy blonds, deserves some respect. I refuse to call him "Tweety" anymore. He is Mr. Matthews from now on, to me. And yes, he has driven me mad with some of his comments in the past, but at least he covers important topics. A hell of a lot better than Nora or Tucker or Brit or Billo or Rita...I could go on and on.

18. I didn't say all, I said most, and I stand by that
I agree with a lot of his stated stands on things, of course -- however, in the end, I think he's another whore
bought and sold by the radical right. IMHO, his "fairness" to the "Republicans" is nothing more than an obsequious
toadyism. By all means, call him what you like, but he'll always be Tweety to me.

Personally though, I like Chris Matthews, but most people here seem to hate him. I remember asking if anybody knew what was wrong with him when he was sick and not on for over two weeks. THe response i got was, "I'm glad tweety is not there," from every single person.

10. I don't see the love KOKO01
Matthews is good sometimes and others totally aggravating depending on which way his inner pendulum is swinging. He's more amusing than credible, Imus I rarely even hear anyone talk about but then I've been busy lately and just playing catch up when I get to DU.

17. I know...Many Here don't have time to catch much of "News" and it's "On the Fly."
Sorry to seem like I'm blaming YOU for having to watch what you do for some slight analysis....but blaming Reagan for getting rid of "Fairness Doctrine" and Clinton for "TeleCom Deregulation Act of 1996."

It's left us with what we have...and it's NOT SERVING DEMOCRACY! Eveyone might say "Tune into C-Span" but the RW CRAZIES who call into their "Washington Journal" wrap up in the morning...aren't better served than the Imus Crap in that hour or the Tweety/Blitzer Brigade later.

 Those with "little time" depend on MSM...but there really ISN'T any MSM TODAY...IT's Variations of FAUX News with an "Intellectual Twist" that insinuates itself into "inquiring minds brains."

It's bad out there...but not everyone can keep up with the "changing fortunes" of Air America Radio and not many can get Pacifica or "Link TV" to keep us going. Most of us can just get what comes in during the "few free hours of time" we have for MSM and the Imus/Tweeties and Faux's kind of fall into our "disinformation zone" because of convienience and that "everyone else is watching" syndrome. THEY'VE GOT US BY THE BALLS....

11. Well...Some Of Us....
I NEVER watch those GARBAGE shows. Countdown is all I'll tune into. And since Keith is off this week, that's not even worth watching, although I probably will.

It still amazes me that people here tune in each day to see which face they'll have on today. I don't understand it, and except for Keith, they're all a bunch of SPINSTERS and LIARS, trying to spew right wing talking points, and get people stupid enough to watch them, interested in what they have to say.

13. I did love it yesterday when Matthews was being interviewed right after the
guilty verdicts. He kind of sputtered but actually wondered aloud if cheney should resign. Great moment! I don't watch his show, though.

Sometimes I agree with one or the other, sometimes with neither, I try to think about the subject and come to my conclusion. Thinking with the herd belongs on the Freeper site.

19. Agree.
I watch Imus for one reason; I like his interviews. He has a wide variety of political guests, and he gives them lots of time to speak before he interrupts them with some corny comment, which usually signals that the serious part of the interview is over. And because it's a loose format early morning show, the guests often come across revealing more of their genuine personalities instead of spewing their party line rants. Unless it's Matlin, of course, in which case, Imus usually calls her a dope anyway.

But I turn the channel once the interview ends because I can't stomach the rest of the blather, and I'm allergic to Imus's choice of music.

22. NOT this DUer! After Tweety's show tonight, my head exploded and
I'm still so damn angry I can't see straight. OMG! Kate O'Beirne and juror #10, Ann something, both said Libby should be Pardoned???? WTF? The woman (juror 10) admitted she knew NOTHING about the case prior to the trial, but felt sorry for him because he seemed to be a really nice guy :eyes: so he shouldn't have to go to jail???*&^%$#@!@#$%%^^& OMG...I couldn't believe my freakin' ears. THEN...Denis Collins (juror)is on and said he wouldn't care if Libby was Pardoned???*&^%$# THEN...Lawrence O'Donnell is on and says he thinks the case is OVER and Libby will be Pardoned????*&^%$#@

Holy CRAP....did Tweety have the deck stacked up tonight or what? I am so damn mad right now.

Imus is an asshole too, BTW. They both make my blood boil.

23. Bizarre -- because Tweety pretty much dismantled all of O'Beirne's arguments
He even brought up the hypocrisy of these wingnuts re Clinton Perjury vs Libby Perjury.

The best O'Beirne could do was say Well Clinton admitted his perjury, but Libby says he is INNOCENT!!!

To which Tweety responded -- yeah right, every convicted criminal in prison claims he is innocent. . .

25. He still had the wench on his show. He just as easily could have stacked his panel with people
who thought Libby should go to jail and not be pardoned. O'Beirne made herself look like a fool, but the point IS...she AND the JUROR WHO CONVICTED HIM(*&^%$#@ said he should be pardoned! WTF? The juror KNOWS he BROKE THE FREAKIN' LAW (SHE HELPED CONVICT HIM!) and still wants him pardoned???*&^%$#@ Then O'Donnell following up with his commentary really set me over the edge. Tweety knew what those guests were going to say. The man is playing both sides of this to cover his ass. Did you hear him say that he agreed with O'Beirne that IF LIBBY IS GOING TO BE PARDONED, IT SHOULD BE NOW RATHER THAN LATER? Tweety easily could have done that entire hour with Democrats who want the guy to pay for his crimes and not be pardoned, but he didn't do that. Why?

That juror #10 will now be the RWer's new best friend. Just watch. She'll be all over FAUX NEWS and RW radio shows spewing her pity for Libby. I expext that crap from people like O'Beirne, but I sure as hell didn't expect to hear it from a JUROR WHO JUST CONVICTED THE SOB. The RWers will LOVE surely embrace her now. Thanks Tweety.
