1. What provided the energy...
...to separate, by electrolysis, the hydrogen and oxygen in water that made the hydrogen available? If it was good old grid electricity, then there's only a small advantage -- fewer NOx, particulates, SOx -- and reduction of carbon emissions isn't one of them.

Hydrogen is a storage medium, not a fuel.

2. Hydrogen is not an option for transportation purposes.
It is damn near impossible to transport and store in a fashion that could be commercially viable.

4. It's produced at the fuel stations by electrolysis using electricity transported from somewhere else
no need for large-scale storage or transport H2 gas or liquids...

5. Not feasible. It would cost thousand's in electricity to produce a days worth of hydrogen.

You would you not use the electricity as the fuel instead of wasting it converting a carrier. This is a dead end science.

6. Nice in theory
but in practice the energy that goes into those cells must be produced somewhere else... all those do is push the pollution out to wherever the power plants are.

There is no near-term replacement for oil on the horizon. Oil is both a source and storage medium for energy. Hydrogen cells are only a storage medium.
