Ruben, Greenspan and Summers were sexist bastards who
trashed the one person speaking out in 1998 against the derivatives market that eventually brought down the market, Brooksley Born.

And Phil Graham is a bastard too.

OBAMA, get rid of Summers and Greenspan acolyte Geithner.

1. No need to call 'sexist.'
They disagreed with her recommendations for whatever were their own reasons.

Phil and Wendy Graham plain old bad news!

4. All done for their political reasons,
much more powerful than 'sexism,' imo.

5. Summers tipped his hand on this years ago
http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2005/01/17/summers_remarks_on_women_draw_fire/

..."CAMBRIDGE -- The president of Harvard University, Lawrence H. Summers, sparked an uproar at an academic conference Friday when he said that innate differences between men and women might be one reason fewer women succeed in science and math careers. Summers also questioned how much of a role discrimination plays in the dearth of female professors in science and engineering at elite universities.

Nancy Hopkins, a biologist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, walked out on Summers' talk, saying later that if she hadn't left, ''I would've either blacked out or thrown up." Five other participants reached by the Globe, including Denice D. Denton, chancellor designate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, also said they were deeply offended, while four other attendees said they were not."...

6. Yes, Summers did a good job on his own.
I think calling 'sexist' with no more damages the cause.

8. Ironic that Brooksley Born out-thought them,
being a woman.

10. there is nothing sexist about what summers said
unless science is sexist for daring to suggest that there are differences between men and women. SHOCKER!

people who won't even discuss the science of gender differences are the "creationists" in the debate.

3.  obama will be a one term president if he keeps these guys around...
obama has a few months before the elections start next year to create/restore jobs in this country. if he does`t he could loose the house and loose senate seats. healthcare reform will not save him..the plan takes to many years to go into effect and it will not cover everyone.unlike johnson, obama does`t have the power to pass healthcare reform and have the first payment go out in 11 months.

7. The show did not go far enough. I am waiting for part 2...the Bush years.
That's when the oversight REALLY disappeared.

There was a law passed in 1995 shielding outside accountants,
law firms, CEO and Directors from liability for false corporate reporting. The bill was passed over Clinton's veto. The same year, they froze the SEC budget. The same year, SEC Chief Arthur Levitt proposed baring accounting firms from consulting for the very firms they were auditing. The lobbyist who spearheaded the accounting industry's campaign against the Levitt Proposal was none other than Harvey Pitt, Bush's SEC Head.....

Remember Enron and Arthur Anderson?

The "dark markets" were not enough, EVERYTHING
was done in secret, and EVERYTHING was allowed.

It still is.

9. Yes, in eight years after the 1998 "crash"
Bush did nothing, and helped it along by refusing to do something about mortgages when they were brought to his attention.
