Did Tiger Woods lie about hate crime when he was in kindergarten?

The lawyer who never met a hanger-on she couldn't turn into a temporary Z-lister is at it again, this time handing out 15 minutes to Tiger's alleged mistress Jesse James' alleged mistress Reggie Bush's non-mistress Tiger Woods' kindergarten teacher, who has decided that today's the day to demand an apology from the golfer.

His alleged misdeed? Ms. Decker (first name presumably withheld to maintain what's left of her dignity) has come to the conclusion, a full five years after a Woods anecdote made it into a Charles Barkley book, that a story the golfer told about his first day of school unfairly slandered her.

For those unfamiliar, Woods recounted his supposedly brutal entrée into academia, alleging that sixth graders tied his 5-year-old self to a tree, spray painted the N-word on him and hurled rocks at him. He claimed the teacher did nothing but tell him to outrun the kids back to his house.

Well, Ms. Decker claims to be said teacher and says the incident never took place. She's seeking amends, which we can only assume is code for money. We're guessing Team Tiger is giving her an F. As in off.

This seems like a horrible attack on Tiger and is unfair for her to claim it didn't happen just because she didn't see it personally.

10. He didn't say it was his teacher...he says "the teacher" which could just be

whatever teacher was watching recess that day or something. Or was his Kindergarten teacher also teaching the 6th graders? I read it to mean the 6th grader's teacher.

If:
A) Nobody knew it was her, or
B) At least one person knew but didn't care, then

Tiger will be fine. Personally it sounds frivolous to me.

As I posted in another thread, this is probably someone who would not have been taken seriously before. Now we all know that Tiger is a kind of, well, liar, maybe it's time for her to set the record straight.

11. Tiger was already pretty well known at the age of 5.

He was a golf phenom and had been featured in golf magazines and on tv, so he was already somewhat of a celebrity which I think adds more credibility to his story. Of course the older kids would want to pick on the new semi-famous little black kid.

12. Even if the statement was false (burden of proof is on her) it doesn't automatically become slander.

Mr. Woods would have to know the statement was false. If he got the fact wrong (i.e it was another teacher, or a coach, or a substitute teacher) but it wasn't intentional then it isn't slander.

Second the teacher would have to suffer a harm/loss. What loss did she suffer. The book says "a teacher". How many people would know she is the "a teacher".

Case goes nowhere. She and her ambulence chasing lawyer are hoping Tiger Woods hands them some money for this frivolous lawsuit to make it go away.
