Most of the people in his district live in Wichita, and I'm not sure how bad things are there. Employment here has been pretty terrible and this part of his district has some of the highest poverty rates in Kansas. But of course, give 'em a dose of God and let them fend for themselves. That's the way with these Kansas nutters like Tiahrt and Brownback.

in Oral Roberts land. I thought the political climate was run by religious nuts when I left in the mid 80s but it was mild compared to now.

I've gotten plenty of letters like this, generically stating a candidate's rhetoric on X issue in response to mail from a constituent. They just copy and paste the most appropriate answer into a response and send it on the way.
