The mom in TN who sent back the adopted boy lives in a COMPOUND?!
Just saw a report on GMA. They said both mom and grandma have retained counsel and are not available for interviews. And neither can be reached in the "compound" where they live.

Also a Russian man who had seen the boy said he had bruises but no sign of psychiatric problems, as the mom had complained.

:wtf:

Why did this woman want this kid in the first place? Help with work on the compound??

6. It takes a lot of money to adopt from another country - most places
Edited on Mon Apr-12-10 08:01 AM by old mark
do very thorough investigations - my brother and SIL had to travel to Manila to interview with people at the orphanage where they eventually chose to adopt twin girls...made several trips, to meet, interview and bring the twins to their new home (they are now college students).

The media always used to call Ted' Kennedy's place a "Compound", too - several homes on a single large piece of land, I guess...
I am wondering if they got their children through some "religious" organization? It sounds like they have available money and not much sense.
