Much like sex with condoms, porn movies w/stories, pre-season NFL football, or Hawaii Five-O reruns on VHS videocassettes, i just can't get excited about either a Justice Kagan or a Justice Garland....Come on, Garland is a 57 year old moderate - we need a 40ish something LIBERAL for this critical nomination...

This might be the last best opportunity to excite the base before the Nov. elections....And they're plenty of candiates that would THRILL the base, including, but not limited to: Goodwin Liu, Harold Koh, Diane Wood, Pamela Karlan, Kathleen Sullivan, etc..

We need a :woohoo: candiate, not a :banghead: candiate, or come election night in Nov., we'll all be posting threads with alot of :banghead: in them...

1. Diane Wood is 59, not 40ish.

Otherwise she would probaby be the pick.

I don't think the rest on your list have a chance.

I think Kagan would be pretty liberal except possibly for executive power issues (though just because she defended Obama's administration on a particular issue doesn't mean she would find the same way when not defending a client). Kagan is 49, and the youngest I know of up for consideration.

3. To be honest, I don't get excited at all by Supreme Court Justices or potential nominees,
but if that what excites and thrills people, then go for it.
