I've ever witnessed. They lured almost everyone into believing they were supporting American jobs by buying at Walmart and then BAM - everything started coming from China, while American manufacturing jobs started on a death spiral.

They started telling manufacturers to cut costs, then HOW to cut costs, then WHERE to cut costs so companies like Rubbermaid, Levis', Masterlock, and countless other manufactures were basically threatened with "make it in China to meet our price, or you won't be selling in Wal-Mart stores." So they shipped the jobs overseas. There was a great report on this in Rolling Stone maybe 10 years ago now, but I can't seem to find it anywhere online. Link anyone?

Sam Walton was born in Oklahoma, in a small town called Kingfisher. After reading a little of his biography I was struck by a similarity between Sam Walton and Earl P. Halliburton (about whom I wrote HERE). Both men rose from poor backgrounds and through sheer hard work and determination became owners of two of the biggest companies America has known, companies which in later years, after the deaths of their founders, have become two of the most hated comapnies, in America, and in the world. Walmart is accused of using virtual slave labour in developing countries to produce goods to sell at low prices in America, of treating its staff abysmally, not providing adequate health cover for them, and generally acting like the big bully in the world of retail.

There was an expose on a real news channel. They had a guy go under cover to a Wal-Mart supplier in Malaysia. They had kids working in the place making less than a dollar a day and they lived in the back and were charged for room and board. Basically slaves. The manager said he would put a label in the clothes that said they came from the US or wherever the buyer wanted. It was mid-'90s I think.

But when Sam Walton ran his scab stores, they advertised as American Made and they were according to several investigative reports, carrying the lowest proportion of US made merchandise of any retailer in the US.

If he's spinning in his grave it's because his kids haven't started fucking every human on the planet yet. His kids are the product of his genes and his upbringing. They are him.

Like the Bushes, we would be well served as a human race to remove all traces of their genetic material from the gene pool.
