Regarding the oil disaster in the Gulf Coast
Let's say for the sake of argument that the oil companies pay for all of the cleanup.

Does that include reimbursing the US for any security/help they have provided?

And what about all of the people in that area who rely on the coastal sea life to make a living, is that also covered as "damages" or is that yet another expense that the citizens and government also get to pick up?

I am so sick to death of how fucked up we've become because of greed and stupidity.

But really, does anyone know the answers to: who pays? and what do they pay for?

4. using the exxon valdez as a role model, I'd say
they'll stall and stall, appeal and delay until everyone is dead. Then they'll offer 3 cents on the dollar to the heirs.

It's not just how greedy and stupid the world has become, it's how we've managed to kill the planet in 100 years.

If I was God, I wouldn't let humans have more than stone tools.
