Another totalitarian law that Arizona can get behind. |
|
All born American citizens from this time forward must pass the same citizenship test that immigrants must to become Americans. Schools can set up night classes for all who know nothing about their country or their Constitution. Then Arizona can issue everyone an ID that states they truly are real Americans. Sure it's Big Brotherish in spirit but since civil rights don't seem to be much of an issue in Arizona, I say they should go for it.

1. Maybe they'll pass that one in 20 more years... after nothing has still changed there. |

2. Also, no one should be able to vote until they pass the test and |
|
get their ID. Yes, it's very unAmerican, but very Arizona of today.

1. Teabaggers get preference for class enrollment (Because they have greatest need, they are "exceptional," and they believe they're entitled.)
2 Spelling class included

4. But, but, but, if you did that |

most of the freepers who live in Arizona wouldn't be considered citizens anymore. A lot of "average" Americans know nothing about their system of government or their constitution and most have no pressing reason to read their country's founding document. A lot of people are happy listening to talk show hosts spout off about random crap and then parroting that random crap to their acquaintances.
If a law like this is proposed and framed correctly, I would assume that it would be supported by the electorate until the effects are actually felt.

If they are going to disenfranchise one section of the population, and some postulate that this is about keeping Mexican Americans from the polls, this should equalize the equation by making the other half disenfranchised until they jump through the right hoops to reclaim their voting rights.
