In the 2008 election, I voted for the libertarian party’s candidate for President, Bob Barr.

For years, yes, admittedly, I voted Democrat. That is; till 2008. I didn’t leave that party. They left me.

For a time, I tried making end-roads with Neo-Conservatives. This was a dismal failure. I just cannot agree with those who insist on not taking responsibilities for their failures. See here to understand what I am referring to.

Why am I not afraid like you?

I have been to war were I was really shot at and rarely was I afraid there. I've used all kinds of small arms from rifles to pistols to 50 cal machine guns and my feeling is that life in the U.S. isn't even 1/100,000,000 as lethal as war.


My point is that I don't feel the need to carry a gun and wouldn't. My life is not like war.

But I maintain them and know how to use them anyway, to give myself the best odds if something should happen. That's the same reason why the shotgun lives on my bedroom wall. This is directed at all of us simply because we believe something different, in a supposedly free country. I don't know about anybody else but I shall remain armed and vigilant. The Glenn Becks and Michelle Bachmanns have created and turned this monster loose on us. I'm not going to run in circles with my hair on fire but neither will I cower in a corner. And I certainly won't pretend that if I ignore it that it will just go away.
