Arizona lawmakers have set aside a bill that would require presidential candidates to show their birth certificates before they can get on the state's ballot.

The bill had won initial approval from the Arizona House of Representatives about a week ago, but legislators say it won't reach the state Senate before adjournment because not enough Republicans support it.

Arizona has been the center of some controversy for its new immigration law, and has seen increased scrutiny of some of the more conservative laws on its books or up for debate in the state legislature.

especially those involved in tourism in that state, put pressure on the Rethugs in the legislature. I think they had enough.

10. Kinda makes you wonder if the whole immigration

law thinggy isn't about scapegoating immigrants to show their id because they are frustrated that they cannot get Obama to show a birth certificate that says he is from kenya. You have to wonder....are they are all mixed up by the psychopaths who they watch on the TV (Beck, Limbaugh, et all)?
