After the election hubbub has died down...
...and you three have had a chance to collapse into a comatose state for a couple of days, I think it would be informative to the DU population to have some kind of report on how the new servers fared during election day.

I've been on here about four hours now and I noticed we didn't have to change our DefCon status once as the election results poured in!

1. We seemed to run well all night long
We added additional server capacity before the 2008 elections which held up well, and that was still in place for Tuesday's elections. I can ask Elad to see if he has any additional information about the server performance though.

2. Not really... everything went smoothly.
We finally seem to have a server array in place that handles our traffic spikes well enough that we don't have to turn off features. That's not to say it'll never happen, but it's been a long time since we've had to.
