FUCK YOU CONDI RICE
Edited on Thu May-05-11 08:54 PM by Hissyspit
You Slimy Weaselly Lying Dissembling Rationalizing Inhuman War Criminal Scum

THIS is the blood that is STILL on your hands:

May 6, 2009:

"We the undersigned students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other concerned members of the Stanford community, believe that high officials of the U.S. Government, including our former Provost, current Political Science Professor, and Hoover Institution Senior Fellow, Condoleezza Rice, should be held accountable for any serious violations of the Law (included ratified treaties, statutes, and/or the U.S. Constitution) through investigation and, if the facts warrant, prosecution, by appropriate legal authorities."

I stated, "By nailing this petition to the door of the President's office, we are telling Stanford that the university should not have war criminals on its faculty. There is prima facie evidence that Rice approved torture and misled the country into the Iraq War. Stanford has an obligation to investigate those charges."

And Fuck You John Yoo, Too.

92. Funny how I had better and more confirmable intel from the papers at the time...
at least those willing to cover El-Baradei, Scott Ritter, Hans Blix, and the well-known history of how the UN mission DESTROYED ALMOST ALL WMD CAPABILITIES OF IRAQ BY 1993.

There is no excuse for these liars claiming otherwise. She was in the admin from the start and knows very well that the Bush regime after stealing the election arrived with the intent to attack Iraq as soon as feasible, as administration renegades like O'Neil made clear. She knows they were liars, and she knows the Powell presentation to the UN was bullshit through and through. How can anyone know it? Watch it and pay attention to the construction of an invalid case being made right in front of you. It's all, I point at a picture of a truck or a container and make up bullshit about what's inside. They rely on public credulity (US public, not world) and their ascribed authority of position, not on anything that would pass as a presentation of evidence in any real court or even academic debate.

At any rate, since the aggressive war was launched by the Bush regime the details of the Niger forgeries, the Plame witchhunt and many other lies devised in constructing the "WMD" myth have emerged. They are NAKED. Only respect for authority prevents anyone from seeing it.

99. Anyone who read Knight-Ridder's Coverage Knew the Lies While They were Happening
Edited on Fri May-06-11 11:13 AM by JPZenger
The late great Washington Bureau of the Knight-Ridder newspapers provided detailed and accurate coverage of the lies - while they were happening. There were detailed news stories during the build-up to the war that exposed the deceit. They were largely based upon mid-level career professionals from the State Dept. and other federal agencies who were talking to key reporters, because they were so shocked at what was going on.

Meanwhile, the other national media outlets were relying entirely upon political appointees for their information.

Knight-Ridder included large circulation newspapers in Philadelphia, Florida and California, among other places.

110. It's the president's job to carefully question all intelligence,
all facts and all opinion presented to him.

This morning I received a copy of an e-mail excoriating President Obama for carefully listening to all sides, all opinions available to him before giving the signal to get Bin Laden. Obama did exactly what a president is supposed to do -- exercise utmost caution before taking human lives and listen to the critics as well as the advocates of an idea.

Bush's mistake was to simply swallow the intelligence he received whole without chewing, without considering its merit.

Either that, or (and there is a very good chance this is the reality) the whole bit about the faulty intelligence is a big fat lie.

If you read the Sorenson book on Paul O'Neill's experiences in the first year or so of the Bush White House, The Price of Loyalty, you will learn that within the first months of the Bush presidency, Bush's top foreign advisers were discussing how to parcel out the Iraq oil fields.

If O'Neill's book is true, then there is a strong likelihood that the faulty intelligence was not the fault of our intelligence apparatus. There is no evidence that O'Neill's book is false. Thus, the faulty intelligence was simply an excuse for the Bush administration to do what it wanted: invade Iraq and take control of the oil fields.

We all rationalize our mistakes. We all need to make ourselves look and feel better than we deserve. It is human nature. Condoleeza Rice is human, and that is what she is doing and did in the O'Donnell interview. She is trying to make herself look better than her reality.

Edited on Fri May-06-11 06:31 PM by solarman350
So, let's keep it straight...at least on this forum. Not defending the CIA, but they went along for the ride on this one. Outing of Valerie Plame by the bush CRIME family clearly illustrates that. The "just following orders" excuse doesn't work here either.....EVEN if you substitute "intel" for "orders." Eventually, CIA agents will definitively prove that the intel they provided to the bush CRIME family was not the same intel that the latter claims to have acted on. Wikileaks might even have ALREADY leaked this.

147. Who provided them the intelligence?
IIRC Bush was running a separate intelligence processing facility in the days leading up to the war. The only reason I can think of to do that--considering the national centers provide good information--is Bush wanted an IPF in place that would always tell him what he wanted to hear.

So! If Bush's IPF was telling him Saddam was making chemical warfare agents, the rest of the intelligence community was telling him they weren't and Bush wanted to use an Iraqi chemical program as justification for the war he'd decided to hold long before he was installed, do you really think he's going to listen to the rest of the community?

That's the file that needs to be subpoenaed in a court case (Hague/ICC, etc.). If it got released to the Public in an electronic form, the link to that would be helpful.

Mike Duncan
Chairman
Republican National Committee
3 10 First Street, SE Washington, DC 20003
April 20, 2007

Dear Mr. Duncan:

I am writing to inform you that I will be scheduling a business meeting of the Committee for Wednesday, April 25,2007, to consider a motion to subpoena the Republican National Committee for documents relating to possible violations of the Presidential Records Act and the Hatch Act by White House officials.

The Committee has sent four separate letters to the RNC over the past month regarding the use by White House officials ofe-mail accounts controlled by the RNC. As you know, the Committee has requested basic information about the e-mail accounts, such as the identity of the officials using these accounts and the volume of relevant e-mail communications in the RNC's possession.

The Committee has also requested a limited set of e-mails related to whether Bush Administration officials have used federal resources to help Republican political candidates.
In response to these repeated and reasonable requests, the RNC has failed to provide any of the requested documents. Moreover, the RNC has refused to provide even the most basic information within its possession regarding who at the White House held RNC e-mail accounts or how often they communicated through these accounts.

I hope you will reconsider the RNC's position. If the RNC provides the information and documents requested by the Committee before April 25 or commits to a firm production schedule that will meet the Committee's needs, I will reassess whether compulsory measures are necessary.

166. Dude! We're talking about George W. Bush!
The absence of hardcopy was no impediment to Bush's mission of invading Iraq and killing Saddam, damn the consequences.

The real scary thing is, even if Bush's own "tell me what I want to hear" intel facility would have told the Republicons there's no reason to attack Iraq, they would have decided to do it anyway and said something like "Intelligence reveals Saddam has an active nuclear and chemical weapons program." The nice thing about intelligence is that it's classified. If the press would have asked to see the product: "I'm sorry, that's classified." To know which agency picked it up: "I'm sorry, that's classified." You can go on and on with this, but Shrub could very easily have lied his way into a war using "secret information" that only the White House and the originating agency--which, of course, is Cheney's ass because no one in the Bush Administration was as full of shit as he--can see.

I just about shit when she said Canada was part of the coalition!! It had to have been deliberate too, because the fact that Canada did NOT go with Bush into Iraq would have been something which Condi and the whole Bush regime would remember. They wouldn't forget that their closest neighbour and best friend on this planet refused to join them on this. Condi didn't misspeak....she just thought she could blow it by Lawrence by saying it, which unfortunately for him, worked. People like you and I caught it though!!

on edit: But we did go to Afghanistan. And like the U.S., nearly a decade later we are still there. Fighting and dying.

61. The Bush war criminals told so many lies it's hard to keep track
But the Canada lie has been repeated by others, notably Arnold Schwarzenegger while making a speech IN Canada:

http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/Politics/20110128/schwarzenegger-montreal-troops-110128/

Schwarzenegger praises Canadian troops ... in Iraq

(Much like that other idiot Ann Coulter trying to put Canada in Vietnam)

Another lie Kindasleazy repeated last night (and after all, lying is all she did in the interview) was her continued insistence that Bush attacked Iraq because of the threat Iraq posed but later Rice compared the Iraq invasion with Libya! I was waiting for O'Donnell to criticize Rice's bait and switch. Did Bush attack Iraq because of a false threat his administration ginned up or was it a humanitarian effort? An even more ridiculous falsehood.

They're free to continue spreading their lies because we didn't insist they face justice for those lies and the literally millions of lives their lies destroyed. This is one great failure of the Democratic Party and the nation as a whole. We can still bring them to justice.

Now that bin Laden is dead it's time we make bringing our own war criminals and terrorists to justice a top priority.

Condi's Inner Life

What Freudian slips do—or don't—tell us about politicians.

By Laura KipnisPosted Monday, April 26, 2004, at 6:36 PM ET

"Could preternaturally self-composed National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice actually have a roiling inner life? Is she tormented by needs, longings, embarrassing fantasies? So the world wondered after New York reported what it benevolently called a "poignant faux pas" committed by Rice at a recent D.C. dinner party. What Rice reportedly said was this: "As I was telling my husb—" before abruptly breaking off and correcting herself: "As I was telling President Bush." Jaws dropped, we're told. And though nobody thinks Bush and Rice are "actually an item," we were nevertheless reminded that the unmarried Condi does regularly spend weekends with the president and first lady."

Ewwwwwwwwww. The thought of those two together is akin to watching slugs mate.

133. I heard a story of her "dressing down" a store clerk who showed her some sort of jewelry, I believe
that she thought was somehow too "cheap" and beneath her to

contemplate. I believe she said something like

"YOU may have to wear those things, but I do not"!

The story left me with the impression of her being

an insufferable elitist who "looked down" on others.

Because of her, and every other neo-con lying criminal in the bush* years, but this does not count the mercenaries and contractors, the tens-of-thousands of wounded, not to mention the million+ Iraqi civilians that were killed or wounded because of these criminal actions. The human toll has been staggering.

53. You're right about the
"scared and defensive". I've heard it in her voice many times when she was testifying. Her voice becomes very shallow and shaky, and that's when she talks over people. I think it was during the 9/11 commission hearings that she was accused of filibustering to suck of all the questioner's time.

Personally, I would have thought she would disappear from the public scene to avoid this sort of confrontation. Guess some people have to keep defending the indefensible.

In a Presidential debate, she would not have unlimited time to babble on, and the other candidates - interested in their own success - would not be prepared to show her any deference, including the other Repub candidates. Hillary Clinton would verbally eviscerate her.

Coincidentally, a little over a year ago right after Pearl Harbor day, I got back from a trip to visit my father when he passed away then, and I watched Laura Flanders' show on my DVR when I got back from the night he passed away, and she was interviewing the director for American Faust, a documentary on Condi Rice. Carlo disappeared into the back room for a moment, and then reappeared carrying an ordi nary shoebox. He took off the lid and removed a hideous pair of black and white pumps. But this was not an ordinary pair of black and white pumps; both were left feet, one had a right angle turn with separate compartments that pointed the toes in impossible directions. The other shoe was six inches long and was curved inward like a rocking chair with a vise and razor blades to hold the foot in place.

81. she looks psychotic to me
Anyone who can twist logic into a pretzel and push a policy that killed tens of thousands of people should be put away somewhere.

She looks manic when she plays the piano. Mania, narcissism and delusional behavior often go together.

only the last couple of segments,

Someone upthread noted, correctly, scared and defensive. Totally true. Scared to realize that the inability to think critically and to do due diligence on the shitty intel that was being shoved up her ass by those who wanted revenge against Saddam. Defensive in that she has to live with this knowledge.

Why do you think Chevron put her name on the side of a supermax oil tanker?

"The double-hulled giant, Condoleezza Rice, is part of the international tanker fleet of the San Francisco-based multinational oil firm, named several years ago in honor of Rice when she was a Chevron board member and stockholder."

conscience should be her guide, she is such a fucking moron. O'donnell asked her, did you speak to GW and she said yes, she was clearly lying. Those fuckers have no conscience!

These fuckers are rich and they do not give a shit about the working class or the poor people of America. Fuck her!

128. Here's the warning Condi got PERSONALLY January 2001:
The crux of the issue is a January 25, 2001, memo on al-Qaeda from counterterrorism coordinator Richard Clarke to National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, the first terrorism strategy paper of the Bush administration.

Clarke's memo, described below, "urgently" requested a high-level National Security Council review on al-Qaeda and included two attachments: a declassified December 2000 "Strategy for Eliminating the Threat from the Jihadist Networks of al-Qida: Status and Prospects" and the September 1998 "Pol-Mil Plan for al-Qida," the so-called Delenda Plan, which remains classified.

Despite Clarke's request, there was no Principals Committee meeting on al-Qaeda until September 4, 2001.

but let President Obama do anything and there it is, over the top hatred and unwarranted attacks.

I never saw any of that with Rice. I guess being a Republican liar and shill lets you in the white boys club and gives you immunity.

Her lies are defended while Obama's truth is derided as lies.

This country is truly screwed up.
