Is the guy who was on with Stephanie Abrams on WC an "End of Time/Doomsayer?" A "Revelations Dancer?"

Thankfully, Stephanie Abrams cut him off...before he had time to spew forth more...

to exaggerate or emphasize how bad something is. I remember the phrase being used in the movie "Ghost Busters". They're hardly RW fundies.

Perhaps he was utilizing a cultural reference, since most people understand what a flood or anything "of Biblical proportions" is--an adjective phrase describing the enormity (not to mention rarity) of the flooding in Australia.

6. It's a phrase that's commonly used to mean Fucking Huge..

The phrase 'biblical proportions' has been used by the Queensland state treasurer, and he's definately no RW fundy type. It's been used a fair bit in the media as well. It's just a turn of phrase, kind of like how the phrase 'inland tsunami' was used to describe the flash-flood in Toowoomba and surrounding area. It's not meant to be taken literally, but is being used to get across the size and strength of it...

The often reflexive response (in this country) of "God bless you", to a sneeze ... does not indicate the person saying it is a zealot .... nor does the phrase "... of biblical proportions" when referencing something well outside the norm
