mixed economy, with a role for the private sector, but the state playing the main role in public service provision. Public services valued over tax cuts.

Also an economy that is based on many industries, not just one or two, and in particular emphasizes production of useful goods and services, rather than finance and banking for their own sake.

The 'postwar consensus' in Britain, destroyed by Thatcherism, worked rather well IMO; so do the Scandinavian countries nowadays.
