anyone here catch the swine flu?

I had it,got tested for it. My throat swabbed deeply & I came up positive.It really was no big deal to suffer through for me as other flu I had in the past was much worse on me than swine flu was ,but maybe this could explain why I haven't caught any flu since I caught H1N1??..

Might explain why my usual week with the flu was cut down to this weekend. Should be chipper for Tuesday.

5. I had it a year ago last fall

it was pretty bad, the worst was that it would go away but it kept coming back again and again. Actually I haven't been sick again at all since it finally went away for good.

10. Exactly! My husband and I had it last fall also! It was a miracle that he could even

drag himself to the store for supplies. We suffered with this for 3 weeks! I washed sheets, disinfected every surface, and it kept going back and force between us. (we even slept in separate bedrooms) We finally had a theory. The cat! She was the only thing that marched back and forth between our rooms. And... of course we petted her and both slept with her off and on. Been fine this year though. Wow! thanks for the post!

6. Perhaps, in April 2009

I was really sick for a few days (I didn't get tested nor did I receive any medicine or medical care because I was isolated in another country). I thought I might die for about a 48 hour period (had seizures and could barely drink water), and it took a week to recover. Nevertheless, I have not been sick since then (except for the dysentery I got in Brasil, which I get every time I go there). :shrug:

11. Last time I had the flu was the Honk Kong flu in 1968

When I first met Donna she came down with the flu and ended up with strep throat and pneumonia. I'm sleeping on the same bed and I didn't even sneeze-she hated me.

Donna would get the flu about every other year even with the shots. I never get a shot and haven't had the flu in over 40 years.

12. something to look forward to, I guess but some not so good is

I suffered through H1N1 twice! Another odd characteristic of the flying piggie flu is just that, it can recur. Also, it triggered shingles (damn you chicken pox!).
