a Week of Progressive activities in Conservative Central Valley, Fresno CA 11/12-11/22
The next meeting of the Central Valley Progressive PAC is this Saturday, November 12th from 3:30 to 5:00 pm at the Fresno Center for Nonviolence (1584 N. Van Ness Ave., Fresno). Our main discussion will be on the City's destruction of the homeless encampments and what the progressive community can do about it. Mike Rhodes and former Santa Fe Ave. homeless encampment resident Patch will be our speakers. We are also inviting a speaker from Occupy Fresno to come and give us an update on their situation.
Note: our meetings are free and open to the public. If you are at all interested in supporting the homeless and Occupy Fresno, please come and invite your friends to this informative meeting.
Thank you.

A report on the demolition of the homeless encampments what happened, why it happened, and what is going to happen next. The progressive community has been asked to provide City Council member Oliver Baines with a plan that will provide safe and legal places for homeless people to live. These sites will have basic public services like drinking water, a place to go to the bathroom, and trash pickup. If you want to be a part of changing the City of Fresnos public policy on the homeless, come to this meeting.
There is also the potential for legal action against the City of Fresno and Caltrans for taking and destroying homeless peoples property during the destruction of all the encampments in downtown Fresno. If you want to learn more, come to this meeting.
